Some of the issues I have or feel about society and what is happening to us....morally, I guess. i hate to use that term because morals are hazy at best. Each of us has a different set of "morals" so to speak. Based on religion, culture and/or lifestyle etc. So, hmmm where to go from here.
I guess the line being produced by said "PROGRESSIVES" is so blurred that humans of one sex or the other do not know their place. Men are not supposed to be men anymore and vice versa for women. No not all, bu the basic biology and genetics of men and women is being prodded by some to be "Neutral". Sorry, I do not like it and for one will not adhere to it. Yes some women can be as strong as some men and do the same jobs or excel in sports. But by and large men are the stronger sex in that regard. And women, biologically, are stronger to handle and produce children. Not to say that is their only place in the world. Believe me....men could not handle that. God bless them for their station.
I have no issue with men and women competing for jobs, work, sports etc. But the reality is, most women cannot do the same things as most men. And on that same token, most men cannot do the same things as most women. So with this we have men who do not know or feel they cannot be "MEN" as used to be expected of them. With the women's rights movement, a lot of men became lost. Don't worry, I was not one of them. I heard many times as I reached for the door, in California, "I don't need you to open the door for me" or "What, do think I am weak " and many others. LOOK, if I did not offer or attempt to do this, my mother would whoop my ass!!! I was taught to respect women, the elders, and others. One ways to show that was to hold a door open for others, be they men, women, elderly and even the disabled. look everyone needs a hand once in a while. But mostly in California and the North is where I got the proverbial "STARE of Death" when attempting to do so.
That is putting the issue in simplistic terms though. Men are supposed to be the protectors, the ones who give their lives for the family, tribe, country etc. Not to say women do not or have not done so as well. The motherly instinct to protect her children is very powerful, but so is the man's desire to do the same. Women have fought fiercely and bravely along side men for years, and I am proud of them. But men are lost. The fight of being a manly man by the powers that be, is messing with their minds and many do not know how to handle the NEW realities expected of them. Their biology and genetics, the desire to fight, brandish a weapon, defend something is being taken away.
This idea of gender neutrality is bogus. We are NOT the same and never will be. Yes there are those who cross over and are more feminine on the male side and more masculine and the female side. I am am not just talking about the gay /lesbian life or "alternative" lifestyle as they are calling it. That is life. And for some it is a choice. I do not condemn them as others and society should not condemn men and women who want to be more "traditional" if that is what you want to call it.
For me, I will open the doors, pull out the chairs and even stand when I remember to, and show respect as I was taught. If offends someone...........so be it. No one has the right to never be offended. And on that, I have another whole blog to write!!! LOL

AWE Shoot .....Bang
Society ...... as a whole is, how shall I say it nicely? Screwed, if we continue along this path of ingratitude, playful exploitation of continuous childhood and naivete of misplaced responsibility. And I say that with a very heavy heart.
This past week of tragedy has shown how we as a race of beings have pissed away our so called intellect and supremacy of this world by our ungrateful and self righteous acts of verbally attacking one another for the hideous evil acts of one individual. The heartless gut wrenching murders were caused by one. Not the media, not the government, the gun culture, the video games the gun or ammo manufacturers. NONE. It is society as a whole. Especially the current US culture of NON-Responsibility. Blame everyone else but yourself, you own mind, your own choices, your child's Screwed up sense of morality and reality. Everyone knows RIGHT from WRONG. So who to blame?!?
The individual or persons who perpetuate the ACT. Who mad the choice? Who devised the idea, the plan and carried it out? You tell me. I here it now. "Oh he was a troubled boy" "he was really a nice person" "his parents come from a good family" BLAH BLAH BLAH. Who gives a shit!?!?!?
Some people cannot be helped, saved, re-routed in the right direction or stopped from what they plan on doing in life. We all have a mind of our own, our own thoughts as much as the powers that be will allow us.
But with that being said, I do hold the current, be it liberal, be it conservative or just plain social BS that they continue to cram down our throats, for this continued fall from grace of our once great Society and nation of AMERICA. What am I talking about? Where shall I begin?
Let's start with all this garbage of "Everyone is a winner" and "We are all equal" crap. How is that? It's going to upset many and piss off the rest I am sure. It will "hurt someone feelings" or "offend " I hope it does. That is the real issue here. We have become a people so afraid of offending, hurting someone feelings that we enable everyone to be ..... weak, soft, unable to cope with the variables, fallacies and disappointments in life.
OK OK everyone is NOT a winner. Yes we all win in respect to the fact the we at least try to do something or accomplish something. Be it a sport, write a story or at least show up, yes we can say you win in a sense. But not really. Someone has got to loose or not be as good at what ever it is they are doing as the next guy.
EVERYONE can not win. Boo Hoo, some one feels bad that they were not number one. Yep it is called the real world.. Only in America, now, is EVERYONE a winner. The rest of the world could care less and hopes we continue off the cliff so to speak. Why because someone else will take our place. But what do the majority want to do. Baby the losers, enable those that shouldn't compete at something to keep trying when they should stop. Everyone CANNOT play pro sports. Everyone cannot sing. Everyone cannot be a brain surgeon, thank God. And everyone does not need a College education. And with that.....we are not all "EQUAL"
This whole idea of equality is a grand goal to perpetuate. It gives many many politicians a platform to espouse their grand ideas of how they are going to create utopia. " now vote for me and I will lead you down the path. But you stay where you are and let me embellish my self with a job and lots of money in the process. Since you voted for me". And believe me they have. Once a politician is elected, most make a lot of money. But wait, they are supposed to be a public "servant". LOL We all fell for that one. But back to the point, we are not all equal.
There are many many who are smarter, faster, taller and better looking than me. UNEQUAL I am smarter, funnier, have more hair, shorter fingers than others. UNEQUAL Do we all have the same human rights to try to do or be who we want? Of course we do. Is everyone going to make the same amount of money, no matter what the elected try to say? No of course not. some people work harder and faster and smarter than others and should be rewarded. Those that do nothing, don't try and expect a hand out, can go to the end of the line and starve for all I care. Harsh? You are damn right it is.
FAILURE! It will happen to everyone at some point. We all have to learn to COPE. Our society has gotten to the point that no one has responsibility for their actions, failures, short comings acts of violence, hate, words etc. It is always someone else who caused them to be who they are, fail be evil etc. In some cases, maybe. In most, society used to hold the individual responsible. Now every one is so coddled, who knows how to handle the failures and issue which arise daily? When the reality slaps a 20 year old person in the face that they will not earn that million dollar paycheck, they were the slowest one in gym class, or the cannot compete in college because they are NOT smart enough, they LOOSE IT. But everyone has been saying "we are all winners". Handing out trophies and certificates for no real accomplishment doesn't hold water and many cannot take the reality of the truth which has been kept from them all of their lives.
We now call 20 years olds, kids and children. Many can stay on their parents insurance for years. Biology is telling us a different story. "children" can have children as early as 12 years of age. But our society is trying to keep them children until into their mid to late twenties. There is something very wrong here. Personal responsibility and learning to cope and handle the vagaries of life.
Anyone can do what ever they want, they have a RIGHT to it. There is no more shame in anything anymore. Shame?!?! Where did it go? Went out with God. When you cannot pray anywhere because you might "OFFEND" someone. You can't mention GOD or prayer in your own poems, what next? And we all wonder where the innocence goes, the shame! I have been to other countries and have had other cultures or religions around me. I was not offended. It is their HUMAN right to bless me in their own way, or curse me who knows. But it is not my right to say, NO to their culture or religion as long as it does not call for my death and destruction. Respect, shame, morals, responsibility, rights, they all have a place and they all come with a JUST society. But it is society which must enforce these RULES not Government.
